Like Burnt Falling leaves - part2

Updated: Dec 29, 2020

I think about wabi-sabi when I look at these works. Japanese screens.

Taking images from the morning pages I revisit the process of turning them into morning postcards to my future self then turning those images into line drawings to abstract the intimacy of the postcards and to create space between the viewer and the experience.

Imagining these as pou that may create a distraction from the seat that may sit in front of them, like rock walls in the sea, a redirection of thought. A rip in the tide, a pause, relief, time, a cup of tea?

What happens when these are light boxes or burnt edgings like previous iterations?
